Ethiopia: Consumers are seeing price hikes from political instability and sabotage

(BRANA PRESS) As Ethiopia’s New Year is approaching, the market and its price hike are worrying shoppers in Addis Ababa.
The price hike is observed mostly on the goods residents want for the holiday festivity and that comes from the neighboring Oromia special towns.

Onion, garlic, tomato and all the vegetables that come from the farmers in the nearby suburbs are now gone up to double the price, according to market-goers FBC talked to.

Consumers blame the ethnic politics and sabotage that is interpreting the market for political advantage in the capital city Addis Ababa.
